The use of PTC thermistor resistance at the Curie temperature of sudden escalation of the above characteristics, when the ambient temperature anomaly rises, equipped with a PTC thermistor protection circuit by the change of resistance connected or disconnected circuit, the purpose to protect the components.

Application Principles

Shown in Figure 1, in normal temperature and under ambient temperature, PTC thermistor resistance Rp is less than Rs, the output voltage is low, when the ambient temperature exceeds a set temperature, PTC thermistor resistance Rp rapid increase of more than Rs, leading to a high enough voltage Vo to the action (Figure 2).
